This Instagram artist creates the most unbelievable optical illusions with makeup

Luca Luce is an Italian makeup artist who creates illustrations so incredible you have to see them to believe it.
He says his optical illusion designs can take anywhere from a few minutes to two hours to complete, depending on the complexity.
Luce says he uses his own face to create his mind-boggling optical illusions.
From 3-D drawings...
...to post-modern art...
... to grotesque colorations.
Luce, who is from Milan, told “Good Morning America” that while he’s worked as a makeup artist for Italian national TV for more than 15 years, he started creating 3-D illustrations on the palm of his hand with makeup in 2014.
"I like the fact that [the images] manage to confuse the viewer...this makes me proud of my efforts," he told "GMA."

Luce said design has been his "greatest passion" since he was a child, and that it's "helped me to be a great makeup artist."
