Teen, 4 juveniles charged in woman's fatal shooting over 10 THC pens

A teen and four juveniles were charged with murder on Tuesday after a woman was shot and killed in an attempted robbery over 10 THC pens in North Carolina, according to the Albemarle Police Department. 

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Heath Street and Elizabeth Avenue on March 25 to find 23-year-old Rickasia Liles suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. 

Liles was taken to a hospital but did not survive her injuries, police said. 

Yasir Davidson, 18, and four other unnamed juveniles have been charged in the fatal shooting. 

Davidson has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, according to police and court records.

Davidson is accused of attempting to steal 10 THC vape pens from Liles and threatening the use of a firearm, according to court records. 

One unnamed juvenile is charged with first-degree murder and attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, according to police. 

Three other juveniles are charged with one count of first-degree murder, felony conspiracy, and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to police. 

Davidson and the four juveniles are being held without bond, according to police.
