9/11 25th anniversary live updates: Families gather for ceremonies at World Trade Center, Pentagon, Shanksville

Family members are continuing to read the names of 9/11 victims at the downtown Manhattan ceremony.

Patricia Smith, whose mother, NYPD officer Moira Smith was killed while responding to the World Trade Center, said her mom "died the way she lived -- surrounded by people she wanted to help, doing the job that she loved."

"Mom, we love you and we miss you every day. I’m so proud to be your daughter and I’m grateful for the example you set," she said. "… Thank you for your courage, thank you for setting the standard, and most of all, thank you for your sacrifice."

The reading of the names is ongoing at the 9/11 ceremony in lower Manhattan, recognizing all those who lost their lives.

“I hope I made you proud,” said the granddaughter of FDNY Capt. James Corrigan. "You are missed, remembered and loved, always.”

The daughter of victim Norberto Hernandez described him as a “gentle giant” who “loved like no other.”

She said she became an NYPD officer in her father’s memory. Overcome with emotion, she said, “it was an honor and a blessing to be raised by such a wonderful man.”

The daughter of police officer Ramon Suarez said, “Dad, we miss you we love you. I hope I’m making you proud. I’ve carried you with me throughout every accomplishment and every milestone.”

She said she’s getting married soon and wishes he was there to walk her down the aisle.

“I will always keep your love and memory forever,” she said.

The son of victim John Hart said, “You are gone, but loved and remembered every day by your friends, your family, your 10 incredible grandchildren. Though you’ve never had the opportunity to meet them, they will know you.”

Cheers erupted during the Manhattan ceremony after Terry Strada, who lost her husband Tom on 9/11, condemned Saudi Arabia for its alleged role in the terrorist attacks.

"You are missed more with every day that passes, but how can it be 25 years and we have no justice for the role that Saudi Arabia played in your murder," she said of her husband.

As ABC News reported last week, a coalition of victims’ families are suing the Saudi government over its alleged role and have continued to pursue evidence they say points to deep Saudi complicity. The Saudis deny that claim and are fighting the suit in court.

The Saudis have repeatedly denied having any role in facilitating the attacks and replied in court that they remain "an ally of the United States [and] a sworn enemy of Al Qaeda."

White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told ABC News last week that, "President Trump is leading the most transparent administration in history, and his team is working diligently to identify records that are responsive to these families' request."

Strada called out "administration after administration" for choosing "to protect the Saudis instead of standing with the 9/11 families."

"President Trump can still change that. Tell the Saudis to stop lying," she said.

Strada finished her speech by talking directly to Vice President JD Vance, who was in attendance, and told him to carry that message to the president.

"Stand with survivors, stand with Americans," she said. "As my husband Tom would have said, that is always the right thing to do. God bless all of us. God bless America."

The sixth moment of silence was held at 10:28 a.m., to mark the moment the World Trade Center’s North Tower collapsed, nearly 30 minutes after the South Tower fell.
